About Eliecer Marte
Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Eliecer Marte got his start in television on the Dominican children's program Sábado Chiquito de Corporán. He earned a bachelor's degree in television journalism and economics from the University of Miami, and a master's degree in leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
He has worked in radio and television within the most important Hispanic media in the United States, including Spanish Broadcasting System, Univision and Telemundo, where he also collaborated with its sister network, NBC.
He has received numerous awards for his journalistic work, including Telly, GLAAD and EMMY awards. In January 2023, Marte made history as the first Dominican journalist in the U.S. Hispanic media with international transcendence to make the leap to Anglo-Saxon television, after signing a contract with AlticeUSA for its News12 Networks news channel.
